ZeroClue Privacy Policy

ZeroClue ("we", "us") lets you save places from social videos and plan trips, solo or with a group. This page explains what data the app collects, why, and who it's shared with. We do not sell your personal data.

Information we collect

Who we share it with

We use the following services to run the app. Each processes only the data needed for its function, under its own privacy terms:

Google Firebase / Google Cloud — authentication, database, cloud functions, crash reporting, push notifications
Google Gemini API — generates trip itineraries and analyzes shared content, called from our servers (your data is never sent with an on-device API key)
Google Places API — looks up place details and photos
Google AdMob — shows ads to free-tier users
Google Play Billing / RevenueCat — processes subscription purchases
Mapbox — renders the interactive map

We do not sell your personal data to third parties or data brokers.

Your choices

Location: control access anytime in your device's app permission settings.
Ads: upgrade to a paid plan to remove ads, or limit ad personalization in your device's Google Ads Settings.
Delete your account and data: in the app under Profile → Account → Delete Account, or via our account deletion page if you no longer have access to the app.

Data retention

We keep your data while your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data as described on our deletion page. Shared place listings you contributed aren't tied to your identity and may remain to keep other users' trips working. An anonymous usage counter may be retained to prevent free-tier limits from being reset by re-creating an account.

Children's privacy

ZeroClue is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we'll delete it.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit. Access to your data in our database is restricted by server-side rules so only you (and, for shared trips, your trip's members) can read it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app changes. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated date.
